MUNCIE, IN. — Open Door Health Services will host its third annual 5K, presented by eKeeper, on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The Monster Dash will bring a Halloween-themed run, children’s activities, and fundraising for OB Right Start.
The 5K begins at Canan Commons at 9:30 a.m. and follows a scenic route through downtown Muncie, through the historic Minnetrista campus, and on both White River and Cardinal greenways. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
The fun doesn’t end there; Open Door will also host a trunk-or-treat with fellow community organizations at Canan Commons. The festivities will include a free kids dash open to ages 2-10.
The Open Door Monster Dash 5K will raise funds for OB Right Start, Open Door’s program that helps expectant and new parents receive the care and support they need for a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and a healthy future. OB Right Start combines prenatal and postpartum medical care with maternal mental health services, personalized education, and connections to essential resources like WIC, breastfeeding support, and insurance assistance. Programs like OB Right Start are part of the ongoing effort to improve maternal and infant health by providing care and support for families when they need it most.
Registration is now open. The 5K fee is $25 and will increase after October 23, 2026. All 5K race participants will receive a short-sleeved Monster Dash t-shirt,vrace bib, and finisher medal. The Kids Dash is a free event, and participants may add on a t-shirt during registration for $10.
