Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie ‘Just Desserts’ Fundraiser A Hit

By Amy Logan— Muncie, IN—The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie wrapped up another successful Just Desserts Fundraiser despite the change in format.  This year’s event raised $11,394.36 during the event on Friday, November 6. This total does not include the $3,735.56 raised at events leading up to the main event. The money raised from this event will go directly toward providing quality programs for the local Clubs. COVID-19 Case Closes Southside Middle School Until After Thanksgiving

By Andy Klotz— Muncie, IN– Due to a positive case of COVID-19 that has affected the entire front office staff and administration at Southside Middle School, the school will close immediately and not reopen until after the Thanksgiving break. Students will shift to e-learning by utilizing the district’s Schoology learning management system with live lessons taking place each period. A staff member received the positive test result Tuesday evening. Muncie Public Library Becomes Smoke and Tobacco Free

By Susan Fisher— Muncie, IN—Beginning November 19, 2020, Muncie Public Library (MPL) will move from its no smoking policy to a more comprehensive smoke and tobacco free policy for all of its facilities. “Our Board of Trustees approved this policy in January of this year,” said MPL Director Akilah S.
