Challenge League Provides Special Needs Athletes a Place to Play Ball

By: Heather Taylor— On Tuesday evenings in September, the Yorktown Sports Park CIO Field finds the stands full, crowds cheering, and athletes enjoying the spotlight. A two-inning, Teeball-style game where no one keeps score, are games among the most important played at the complex each year. These games are Yorktown JAA’s Challenge League. Ball Brothers Foundation Announces Rapid Grant Awards

By: Jud Fisher and Donna Munchel— Over twenty organizations have recently been awarded Rapid Grants by Ball Brothers Foundation. The grants are designed to provide funding in the amount of $5,000 or less to help organizations launch a new program or project, purchase equipment, address safety needs, or take advantage of special opportunities. To become an Eagle Scout, one must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, complete an Eagle Scout Community Project and take a leadership role for a set amount of time in a Boy Scout Troop. Dr. John Fallon Appointed to Lead Cintas Project

By: Mike Wolfe Progress continues on the former Cintas property in downtown Muncie. Dr. John Fallon has been appointed as the Executive Director and Development Coordinator for Sustainable Muncie Corporation. The Cintas Initiative is the Corporation’s first major project.
