By Sheryl Swingley— MUNCIE, IN—The Muncie Central High School Alumni Association has awarded its teacher grant, valued at $2,000, to Daniel Sager, the Marching Band director, for the purchase of 133 new leather binders that are needed to protect sheet music Muncie Central instrumental groups need for their practices and performances. The current binders were worn after more than 15 years of use. The scholarship is worth $1,500 and is available for the 2023-2024 academic year, effective Aug. 1, 2023, through July 31, 2024. The scholarship must be used for tuition, health fee, books, and other classroom-related expenses for the year, including the summer session.
