By: Dawn Brand Fluhler—  Nationwide, only 300 healthcare providers earned the “Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” designation Muncie, IN– IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital recently announced its “Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” designation from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC), the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization. The designation was reported in the 10th edition of the Healthcare Equality Index (HEI), reflecting on a decade of progress in LGBTQ healthcare.
