Cardinal Greenways CEO, Angie Pool was awarded the “Outstanding Trail Leader” award for the state of Indiana. The “Outstanding Trail Leader” award recognizes individuals who have made compelling and significant contributions to the trails movement in their home states. Any area of trail excellence or achievement—advocacy, design, construction, maintenance, adaptation, etc.—are grounds for receiving the honor. Located at 1318 South Madison Street in Muncie, the non-profit operates a free teacher supply store every Tuesday– Thursday, from 10:30 am–5:30 pm and the first Saturday of each month from 10 am-2 pm. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy greeted nearly six hundred attendees, their aides and family members as they joined together to  “Be Our Guest…A Night With Mickey and Friends”.  The building was transformed into a variety of scenes from Disney movies, including  Toontown, a forest,  an under-the-sea area complete with waterfall, and a magical castle with well known princesses….

Across the county, 1,000’s of students benefit from Bell Education Grants each year. Awards of up to $450 are available through the Bell Grants program. This program puts professional equipment in students’ hands every day for three weeks as they gain video production and editing experience. “Students who participate in the film school will create professional video projects that will give them an advantage when approaching colleges and careers,” said Dan Allen, Technology Coordinator at MPL.
