Since March 7th 1921, Muncie’s Exchange Club has been dedicated to our community and is best know for distribution of American Flags during the Ball State Homecoming parade, working at the Cardinal Greenway’s Polar Express toy distribution,  and annually displaying over a thousand American flags at Minnetrista for Patriots’s Day.  Exchange Club participates in the Veterans Day celebration at Muncie Central High School. Muncie, IN—The City of Muncie Historic Preservation and Rehabilitation Commission and Delaware County Historical Society recently completed an exhaustive survey of all 30,000 properties in Muncie. ScoutMuncie surveyed every building and lot in Muncie city limits in order to gather current information that will help the community make informed decisions about planning, preservation, and blight elimination. Muncie, Ind. – The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. awarded $613,025.75 to 14 non-profit organizations during the first Quarterly Competitive Grant cycle of 2017. The Community Foundation’s purpose is to improve the quality of life in Muncie and Delaware County for this generation and generations to come. By: Ashley Soldaat— On Monday, February 13th, 2017, the Delaware County CASA Office brought their new Courthouse facility dog to the CASA office for the first time. The Courthouse Dog Program uses trained facility dogs to aid children involved with the legal system in reducing their stress and anxiety as they work through the criminal justice system. Muncie, Ind. –The town of Selma and Liberty and Perry Townships will see increased community grantmaking thanks to generous residents whose donations captured matching dollars. Started in 2012 through The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc.’s Acorn program, the Liberty Perry Selma Town Endowment matured quickly with the help of local residents and matching dollars from the Foundation’s Rural Philanthropy Fund.
