Lowe’s awarded Muncie Habitat a $70,000 grant to help complete the project. By: Mike Rhodes— Earlier today, the Harvest Soup Kitchen at 920 E. Charles Street in Muncie held their first “Summer Fun Fest” for the neighborhood and patrons of the Harvest Soup Kitchen. Executive Director, Loretta Parsons said, “We have been here for a little over 22 years. We had a number of community leaders who wanted to do something special here, so today we are having our first Summer Fun Fest. We are having a picnic and feeding people from the neighborhood as well as our normal guests that come to the Harvest Soup Kitchen on a daily basis.” Loretta…

By: Nancy Carlson— Delaware County’s Torch Bearers for Indiana’s Bicentennial Torch Relay made their first public appearance at the Delaware County Fair July 19th, just before the Truck and Tractor Pull at the grandstand. Nineteen of the 24 Torch Bearers were able to attend the event.
