Yorktown Middle School Students Win Best in State in Verizon App Challenge

By: Mike Rhodes— Yorktown, IN—Verizon awarded its Best in State Innovative Learning App Challenge to Yorktown Middle School. The Yorktown team received Verizon’s Innovative Learning App Challenge prizes at an afternoon rally today for the entire sixth-grade class. The rally was organized this afternoon by the school and nearly 200 students attended. Prizes included $5,000 for Yorktown Middle School and tablets with 4G LTE service for each team member. Ball State University’s Online Graduate Programs Ranked Among Nation’s Best

MUNCIE, IN – Three graduate programs at Ball State University are ranked in the top 20 in the country in U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 “Best Online Programs.” The magazine ranked the university’s online master in business administration (MBA) at 12th, with nursing at 13th and education at 16th. Therapy Puppies to be at Muncie Central Girls’ Varsity Game—Muncie Central Raising Funds to Adopt Therapy Dog

The dog will belong to the school and be present during the school day to benefit students. Muncie Central Counselor Sabrina McKnight will be the dog’s primary caretaker. According to Mrs. McKnight, adopting a therapy dog is a proactive approach to meeting students’ needs.
