Muncie, IN—Mayor Tyler, the Muncie Redevelopment Commission, the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance, Lauth Development and Mark Sturgis of ADM are pleased to announce Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market will be opening their first Muncie store.
The store will feature healthy, fresh and organic foods at great values.
This store, to be located on McGalliard Road between Chick-Filet and CaRite, will be approximately 28,000 square feet on 5 acres that will offer easy access and a connection to the Cardinal Greenway. This development will bring more than 80 new jobs with an average pay of $35,000.00 annually and a capital investment of $9.3 million.
Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market plans to open in early 2018. This project, a public/private partnership with the City of Muncie and the Muncie Redevelopment Commission, will provide a variety of infrastructure improvements to the area, allowing the developers to make the commitment.
Mayor Tyler stated, “Finding the 5 acres in a demographic and geographic area that was suitable for a Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market became much easier when all parties involved worked together to move the project forward. Partners on the project included the City of Muncie’s economic development team, Lauth Development, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, ADM Commercial Real Estate and all local utilities.”
Fresh Thyme also plans to cultivate relationships with local schools, organizations and not-for profit groups. Those plans promote their belief that working together can make a difference in a community.
Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Markets don’t follow the traditional grocery store designs and are a vibrant, fun shopping environment and are simple and easy to navigate. Fresh Thyme is located in 10 states with nearly 50 stores, with 10 located in Indiana.
