MUNCIE, IN—The Muncie-based Paul Revere Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) proudly announces the 2026 recipients of the DAR Good Citizen Award, an annual recognition honoring outstanding high school seniors across Delaware County. The award highlights students who exemplify the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism, core values the DAR seeks to foster in young people as they prepare to become future leaders in their communities and beyond.
Each participating high school in Delaware County selects one senior who demonstrates exceptional character at school, at home, and in the broader community. These students are chosen not only for their academic commitment but also for their integrity, volunteerism, and willingness to take initiative. After being named their school’s Good Citizen Award winner, students may choose to participate in the scholarship portion of the program, which includes submitting a personal statement and an essay reflecting on the importance of good citizenship. From these submissions, one student is selected to represent the Paul Revere Chapter at the state level.
This year’s Good Citizen Award winners are:
Cowan Junior/Senior High School—Barron Smith
Muncie Central High School— Brielle Barbosa
Wapahani High School—Isabella Arbogast
Wes-Del High School—Beatrice Steamiere
Yorktown High School—Grace Turner
Delta High School—Jordan Bunch
Delta High School senior Jordan Bunch earned the chapter’s 2026 scholarship award. In addition to winning the local scholarship, Bunch placed in the top 15 statewide and was also named the Indiana Central District scholarship winner, an achievement that reflects both academic excellence and a deep commitment to service and civic responsibility.
Lisa Kemp, Chairperson of the DAR Good Citizen Award for the Paul Revere Chapter, expressed pride in this year’s award winners. “These students represent the best of Delaware County,” Kemp said. “Their leadership and dedication to their schools and communities give us great hope for the future.”
The Paul Revere Chapter extends its warmest congratulations to all recipients and celebrates their continued contributions to the quality of life in Delaware County.
