Boys & Girls Club of Muncie Surpasses Half Way Mark in Annual Campaign Goal

MUNCIE, IN  – The Boys & Girls Club of Muncie has reached just over half its $70,000 goal in the 2016 annual fundraising campaign. Launched March 31 during the annual Open House, the campaign will add resources, staff and focus to the Club’s academic and teen programs. MCS Addresses Obama Administration’s “Dear Colleague Letter” on Transgender Students

By: Ana Pichardo— With regard to the Obama Administration’s Dear Colleague letter that was distributed on May 13, 2016, the Muncie Community Schools feels that the core purpose of the letter is to ensure that children are not discriminated against. Local Postal Carrier Celebrates 20 Years of Coordinating Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

On this day, the National Association of Letter Carriers teams up with more than 10,000 participating communities nationally to collect non-perishable food donations along postal routes in an effort to Stamp Out Hunger. Fall 2016 Deadline for 2017 Lilly Endowment Community Scholars

By: Eunice Whitlock— The 2017 recipients of the Delaware County Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship will be named in December 2016. Previous scholarship recipients were identified in March of the year they graduated from high school. This change affects the program for all Indiana community foundations. The advanced timeline is the result of a “compelling recommendation” from community foundations who participated in a statewide evaluation of the program conducted by Lilly Endowment Inc. in 2015.
