Cornerstone Awarded Grant From Indiana Arts Commission

By Dee McKinsey— MUNCIE, IN– Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 E. Main St., has been awarded a $15,305 grant for organizational support. The grant was announced by the Indiana Arts Commission and Gov. Eric Holcomb. The money was approved by the Indiana General Assembly in conjunction with federal funds from the National Endowment for the Arts. Open Door’s No-Cost COVID-19 Testing Site Will Close After June 30th

Located at 1651 E. 29th St. in Muncie, directly behind Open Door Urgent Care, this site has operated since 2021 as a state-contracted community testing site. Neighborhood Residents Will Identify Properties for Environmental Cleanup

By Keith Roysdon— DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. – A group of neighborhood residents will lead an effort to identify former industrial properties for cleanup using $500,000 in federal funds. The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District won the $500,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA chose 10 Indiana organizations and communities that would receive part of $9.4 million in funding to assess or clean up brownfield sites, which are properties with suspected contamination from former industrial plant operations. Montana Trucking Company Chooses Delaware County for Terminal, Eastern U.S. Headquarters

By Keith Royson— DELAWARE COUNTY, Indiana – A Montana-based trucking company is investing in Delaware County, Indiana, where it will locate a logistics hub and its Eastern U.S. headquarters. Jones Brothers Trucking will build a state-of-the-art trucking and logistics facility at 1901 W. Mount Pleasant Boulevard in the Industria Center industrial park. Jones Brothers will build a $2-million trucking and dispatch facility on the site, which the company has owned for several years.
