Muncie, IN—The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc., has announced the following students as recipients of the 2016 Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Recipients must be residents of Delaware County, be of good moral character and display good citizenship, and must have maintained at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average in high school. Yorktown Lion’s Club Scholarship Recipient Named

Muncie, IN—The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc., has announced Jason Maynard as the recipient of the 2016 Yorktown Lion’s Club Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a Yorktown High School graduate who maintains an 8.0/12.0 GPA or equivalent and displays good citizenship. Maynard, son of Mandy and Chris Bratton, plans to attend Purdue University where he will study engineering.

The Community Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students who were selected by their individual schools as Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship nominees. Academy of Model Aeronautics Hits $1 Million Scholarship Milestone

MUNCIE, IN—The Academy of Model Aeronautics has been helping graduating seniors achieve their dreams since 1970, and is now celebrating its dream of reaching a total of $1 million in awarded scholarships. The AMA is happy to announce that this year’s $48,000 in scholarships awarded to 10 high school graduates from across the nation has helped bring the total of AMA scholarships that have been given to college-bound aeromodelers to $1 million. By: Ana Pichardo— With regard to the Obama Administration’s Dear Colleague letter that was distributed on May 13, 2016, the Muncie Community Schools feels that the core purpose of the letter is to ensure that children are not discriminated against.
